Overview
A slice of heaven on the banks of the life-giving Kafue River. Lying just our hours by road from Lusaka, Hippo lodge is a small, perfectly secluded retreat and ideal if you’re craving some silence. It is a small camp with five private thatched chalets and two rustic tents, so expect peace and quiet and lots of adventure. If you are lucky, you might get to head out on an impromptu evening game drive to investigate the source of a lions roar nearby. Explore the western bank of the Kafue River, where the wilderness virtually untouched and wildlife roams freely. And finally experience the magic of birding on foot alongside one of the wonderful guides.
